Stratford Edge - London E15
The site has planning consent for development of 160,000 sq ft of residential and commercial accommodation set in two buildings, one at podium level (“Block A”) extending to 6 floors and there being an adjoining 27 floor tower.
Within the mix
of accommodation there is provision for 23,500 sq ft of
social housing, approximately 10,000 sq ft commercial
space, with the remainder being made up of private
residential units and basement parking:
The new buildings will occupy almost all of the site
and will be constructed around a steel frame with part
cladding and glass elevations under a predominantly
flat roof system. On top of the podium building there is
provision for an extensive communal roof garden and
throughout both buildings, the residential units all benefit
from some outside
‘winter garden’ space.
Due to the height of both build (but particularly the 27 floor Tower) in relation to the surrounding buildings, the residential units will mostly benefit from far reaching views in all directions, the best of which will be over the new Olympic Park to the north, and across to the City and Canary Wharf to the West.
